Hand Crafted Cutting Board Care

Our cutting boards and serving trays are made to be passed down for many years. Our boards are made with high quality hardwoods, and we use some of the best water resistant adhesive available. All of our food use boards are finished with a food grade mineral oil and bees wax to bring out the natural wood grain and still maintain a safe place to prepare and serve food.

Use the care guide below to keep your handmade boards looking and performing their best.

  • Hand wash ONLY. 

  • After every use, rinse your board with warm water.

  • Use a soft sponge or brush with mild dish soap to clean / sanitize your board.

  • Make sure the board is laid flat to dry evenly.

  • Do NOT soak your cutting board or serving tray, this will cause the wood to warp and possibly cause the glue joints to fail.

  • When your boards starts to look dull or dry, apply one or two coats of food grade cutting board oil.

  • Do NOT use food-based oil (i.e. Olive/Vegetable oil). It will become sticky and over time turn rancid.
